| Magna-Wind will provide these services to meet customer’s budgets and needs on a contract basis with a set frequency for inspection or on an emergency basis. In addition to performing the inspections, Magna-Wind’s staff of trained personnel can provide the overhaul and repair services as needed. The ultimate result from Magna-Wind’s Predictive Maintenance Services is a bottom line savings for the customer.
VIBRATION ANALYSIS
Magna-Wind utilizes the latest portable vibration analyzer from SKF Reliability Systems. This analyzer coupled with the software provides a powerful tool to accurately diagnose the root cause of vibration problems. In addition, this system allows Magna-Wind’s technicians to check for natural frequencies, early bearing failure and perform 2-plane balancing onsite.
OIL ANALYSIS
Oil analyses are performed by certified independent laboratories. Test reports include full ferrous and non-ferrous metals analysis, water content, total acid number, additive depletion, oxidation, sulfation, solids and viscosity values. Also included are alert levels, trending analyses and recommendations. Combining this data with the vibration analysis data provides Magna-Wind’s technicians a comprehensive diagnostic tool to prevent equipment failures.
INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY
Applying cutting edge infrared technology from FLIR Systems, Magna-Wind’s certified thermographers apply their knowledge and experience to diagnose potential electrical and mechanical failures. Implementing a thermography program can avoid costly downtime by proactively scheduling repairs. Such items diagnosed are motors, gearboxes, electrical cabinets, disconnects, bus bars and transformers.
LASER SHAFT ALIGNMENT
Using Hamar Laser Instruments leading technology in shaft alignment, Magna-Wind’s technicians implement this PC based system to accurately and efficiently align coupled and uncoupled shafts in both horizontal and verticalshaft arrangements.
Typical applications include, but not limited to, motor to gearbox and motor to pump systems.
